Showing off my new sunglasses for this week’s 52. What do you think of them? I jokingly tried them on for Cory at Anthropologie and fell in love with them. They were 70% off so I basically had to get them.

It was kind of a tough week this week. Don’t get me wrong, there were lots of great moments, I just think I have a bit of the winter blues. I blame it on the crummy weather and loads of school work.

Now, here is my week in pictures…

And now, if you are so inclined, the words that correspond with the pictures…

Sunday: Spent sipping on a macchiato at Coava and drooling over their decor. We also got our first bit of snow and got to test out some Impossible PX 600 Silver Shade film.

Monday: On Martin Luther King Day, Cory had the day off of work and I had the day off of school. I was feeling a bit rundown so I rested while Cory went grocery shopping. He came home and surprised me with a sweet bouquet of flowers to brighten my day.

Tuesday: The word for the day was Rain. It literally rained ALL day. What better way to spend a rainy day than to munch on grilled cheese and warm tomato soup? The downside? I was stuck inside all day forcing myself to write 18 weeks worth of curriculum for high school art students.

Wednesday: Super stressful day. The highlight was the delicious bagel and cream cheese with lox, cappers and shallots.

Thursday: Well, if the word of the day on Tuesday was rain, the word for Thursday was downpour. Or maybe more like torrential downpour. We have a marsh and walking path right outside our apartment and from our living room we watched as it was completely flooded. The highlight of my day was thumbing through “Drawing the Head and Hands” by illustration master Andrew Loomis.

Friday: The rain continued to drizzle and gray clouds filled the sky. I loved how beautiful the raindrops looked dripping from the tree branches.

Saturday: Cory and I went to the fabulous Salt & Straw. Post on that coming soon.
