A nod to my love of reading for this week’s 52.

My week mostly consisted of finishing up stressful school projects, cursing the rain and running around trying to get things done. I’m pretty sure I overworked myself because I woke up this morning with a horrible headache and sore throat. I’m not sure what that’s going to mean for this week’s pictures, but lets take a look at week four in pictures…

And now, if you are so inclined, the words that correspond with the pictures…

Sunday (Jan. 22): Did not feel well at all the majority of the day. I think it was a combination of bad sleep, bad weather and anxiety about preparing for two major presentations. To unwind, Cory and I went to see Beauty and the Beast. It was simply amazing. I was born in 1987, so I had everything Disney princess: Little Mermaid sheets, Beauty and the Beast Posters, pajamas featuring characters from Aladdin and countless figurines representing all things Disney.

Monday (Jan. 23): One nice thing about the rain is that it is making everything green and alive again.

Tuesday (Jan. 24): A special treat we have been enjoying around here lately is greek yogurt sweetened with a bit of honey and berries.

Wednesday (Jan. 25): Thought I’d share another view of my 52.

Thursday (Jan. 26): I had to wake up excruciatingly early to drive to campus for a crucial meeting for my master’s program. I was worried that it was going to be a horrible day but it ended up being a wonderful day. The sun even came out for a bit.

Friday (Jan. 27): Gave my nails a fresh coat of polish for the “Music of ABBA” concert. I highly recommend Essie. I have quite a few colors but one of my favorites is “Turquoise and Caicos.” Now, I have to take a moment and gush about the concert. The Oregon Symphony accompanied an ABBA cover band. They even were actual Swedes and this is their 24 tour in the US! It was so much fun. An older couple sitting behind my friends and I thanked us for making the night so special. You see, we were singing along and dancing and it made the couple behind us comfortable enough to really get into the show too. I don’t think they realize how special they made it for me. Listening to the older gentleman sing along to ABBA hits was one of the greatest things ever.

Saturday (Jan. 28): Made an unplanned trip to Pok Pok. Seriously the best chicken wings and Cha Yen you will EVER have. It was a bit too cold to sit outside and their inside dinning area’s natural light is sparse to say the least so I didn’t take a ton of pictures. I was a bit of a creeper and took a picture of a girl sitting nearby. Her yellow boots and hat were too awesome not to photograph. I also found it funny that the guy sitting at another table had a similar green hat on (no, they were not there together).
