Soaking up the sun in this week’s 52. I am all stocked up on polaroid film for my upcoming trip. I couldn’t resist testing out the PZ 680 Color Shade Cool. I think I’m in love.

And now, my week in photographs…

Sunday (June 24th): The day didn’t quite start as expected but ended rather nicely. It was the first annual Barbecue for Mountain Spring Health Clinic, the clinic that has quite literally changed my life. For the past few months in the entryway of the clinic there has been a barbecue grill on display that was going to be given away at a raffle at the get together. Every time Cory and I came in for an appointment, Cory vowed that he was going to win it and guess what… he did! It was one of the greatest things I’ve ever witnessed. Dr. Murczek annouced his name and complete silence hit the crowd. He looked at Cory and said his name again and stunned Cory finally shouted louder than I’ve ever heard him shout, danced a jig up to the doctor and gave him a huge hug. Everyone was laughing and clapping. I was laughing so hard I could barely breath! We’ve grilled nearly every night since! Such a perfect housewarming gift.

Monday (June 25th): I love the bike rack outside the Vision Clinic by my doctor’s office. Who knew optometrists had such a sense of humor?

Tuesday (June 26th): It’s our one month wedding anniversary so we decided to go out and have a movie date! No, we didn’t see Prometheus, we saw “The Brave” and “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.”

Wednesday (June 27th): Our new favorite dessert: grilled peaches with homemade whipped cream.

Thursday (June 28th): A box full of surprises came from the fine folks at DaVinci Wines to get me even more excited for my upcoming trip. Full post coming soon.

Friday (June 29th): Not only did meet with our wedding photographer and receive our wedding photos but we also met the friendliest cat. He even tried to stowaway in our car. I’m a bit of a cat whisperer: they just come to me. The only problem is whenever I crouch down to take their photograph, they always come way to close to me and want to be cuddled. I guess it’s not such a horrible problem to have.

Saturday (June 30th): A lovely red door from a recent walk.
