Dramatic light is featured in this week’s 52. It has been exceptionally sunny lately and since I live in Oregon, I don’t get a chance to shoot in this kind of light all that often. When I look at this polaroid, I feel like it looks like it was shot in a studio, but it was actually shot in a forest. The light on my face is from the sun falling through the trees.

I have been without my dslr this week. It was sent off for cleaning and maintenance so it can be in top working condition for my trip. I ended up taking my instant film cameras with me everywhere over the last 7 days.

And now, my week in {instant film} photographs…

Sunday (July 1st): Where should we go today? I’m basically prepared to go anywhere now that I have my ONA bag. It’s a gift from my darling husband for my Italy trip. You see, Cory usually is a sweetheart and lugs around the equipment for me, so he knew I would need something to properly carry around my gear. Best husband ever!

Monday (July 2nd): Our plants getting a much needed sunbath.

Tuesday (July 3rd): Glittering leaves.

Wednesday (July 4th): A view from Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Thursday (July 5th): Cory and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and took a little hike up one of our favorite trails.

Friday (July 6th): Continuing with favorites, this is one of my favorite downtown Portland signs. I can’t resist taking a photo of it every time I walk past.

Saturday (July 7th): Have I mentioned how hot the weather has been lately? I’m an Oregonian. My fair skin is made for rain, sleet and snow, not the lava hot sun. One good thing about it being too hot outside is that it’s a good excuse to have a popsicle after every meal.
