In this week’s 52, I’m sharing this necklace. On this particular afternoon, I randomly decided I wanted to wear a necklace. I love jewelry, but I usually end up wearing the same 3 or 4 favorite pieces over and over again. I decided to change things up. Cory ended up asking where I got it and that’s when I realized I bought it in Venice on my first trip to Italy. Obviously Italy is calling me.
And now, my week in photographs…
Sunday (July 8th): I adore Emma Stone. Gorgeous, witty, not afraid to laugh at herself. Her interview in Vogue was just lovely. Oh, and have you seen this!!?
Monday (July 9th): Dorothy, I don’t think we’re in Oregon anymore. I cannot believe this “heatwave” we are having.
Tuesday (July 10th): The color of the day is green.
Wednesday (July 11th): Sometimes the only cure for a bad day is a plate full of delicious sushi.
Thursday (July 12th): My new Sperry Top-Siders arrived and I couldn’t be more thrilled with them. They are beautiful and extremely comfortable. Can’t wait to go traipsing around Italy with them.
Friday (July 13th): Cory unexpectedly got the day off from work so we took advantage of the free time and got our free refreshers from Starbucks and went to see a movie together at Cinetopia. Have you ever been? It’s pretty freakin’ amazing. I especially recommend their movie parlors. My dad had given us a pass to see a movie at their XL Grand Auditorium where we saw the Amazing Spiderman. We loved it.
Saturday (July 14th): Cory on Impossible Project’s PZ 680 Color Shade Cool film.

Oooh! I’m so jealous of your Top-siders! I’ve been wanting a pair ever since Chris got some last year in an effort to hip-ify himself (he always said he felt like Jerry Seinfeld because he used to wear the dorkiest sneakers with his blue jeans, haha). Glad to hear they’re comfy. I’d be sure to bring some true walking shoes with you on your trip, though, as Chris often complains of his feet hurting after a full day of walking around town in his Top-siders. Afterall, they’re yachting shoes, not walking shoes! YMMV.
And the story about your necklace is so unbearably cute. Sigh! I’m already dreaming of my next getaway. Can’t wait to live vicariously through yours.
Kim, you HAVE TO get yourself a pair of them. I tried on a ton of top-siders before deciding on these ones: the fact that they are woven really makes them wrap around the shape of your foot. And don’t you worry! I have a few shoes in tow just in case. I’ve learned from past traveling mistakes, haha/ouch!
I literally haven’t worn this necklace for a few years and couldn’t believe the memories that came flooding back when Cory asked me about it! I still can’t believe I’m leaving on Saturday! AHH!
