In this week’s 52, I’m posing in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s childhood home. I still can’t wrap my mind around this incredible experience.
I have so much to say and so much to share about my Italian adventure in the coming weeks but for now here’s a little preview.
And now, my week in photographs…
Sunday (July 22nd): Casale di Valle (the hunting lodge we stayed at) was absolutely breathtaking. Can’t wait to share the entire tour with you!
Monday (July 23rd): Each and every day was filled with activities. The highlight of Monday was touring the beautiful vineyards that seemed to go on forever and ever.
Tuesday (July 24th): We had lunch at grape grower Bruno Rosetti’s home. He arrived in style in his amazing sports car. Afterwords we visited Leonardo da Vinci’s childhood home and the museum dedicated to him.
Wednesday (July 25th): We met many memorable characters including Uncle and the family’s fun loving pup, Latte.
Thursday (July 26th): We had an extra special dinner right next to the Mediterranean. The seafood was some of the best of my life.
Friday (July 27th): We were able to tour Florence where we saw many beautiful and intricate statues. Some were even alive.
Saturday (July 28th): I had to wake up at 4:00 am in order to catch my early flight home. It was a long, not so fun traveling experience but it made reuniting with my lovely husband that much sweeter. He grilled salmon for us and I made pasta for him using the amazing gluten free pasta that was gifted to me on our tour of the Morelli Pasta factory. I also topped it with a delicious, fresh tomato sauce that was taught to me by Chef Anna.
