Sporting my Warby Parkers and taking a walk in our new(ish) neighborhood in this week’s 52. Its been absurdly hot around here, the type of hot where you start sweating as soon as you walk out your door. Is anyone else out there ready for fall?
And now, my week in photographs.
Sunday (August 12th): Been a bit obsessed with this gluten free seeded bakery bread.
Monday (August 13th): A few photographs from a recent walk around the neighborhood. We dream of living in bricked property like this someday.
Tuesday (August 14th): Homemade quiche is one of Cory’s favorite things.
Wednesday (August 15th): When I was away in Italy, this cat came and visited Cory ever single day. Cory would leave for work and this cat would be waiting outside at the bottom of the stairs for Cory. It’s as if he knew Cory was lonesome. Once I got home, the cat wasn’t anywhere to be found until this day. He is so sweet… but his meow, my goodness it’s annoying! It’s deep and he never stops!
Thursday (August 16th): I guess this puppy hasn’t learned how to read.
Friday (August 17th): My grandma has sent me American Art Review for the past few years now. Every time I flip through it, it makes me want to start painting again.
Saturday (August 18th): Cory and I made macarons (mint and fleur de sel) for the annual Beaver BBQ. Don’t worry, beavers aren’t actually consumed. It’s called the Beaver BBQ because the hosts are Beaver fans/alumni. More photographs of this event coming soon.

Awww, your beauty always leaves me speechless!
I’m always wondering if your portraits are self-portraits of it’s Cory who takes them. Because they’re so perfect and I feel dumb because I’m not good at taking self-portraits. At all!
And those macarons… homemade?! Really?!!! It looks like they’re from Ladurèe!!! You’re also an amazing chef! How many qualities do you have?
PS: here in Italy it’s hotter and hotter. I can’t stand these temperatures no more! I want autumn so bad!!!
Aww, you are so sweet! When it comes to self portraits, I usually set up a tripod and use a remote to release the shutter. Other times I use a human tripod, aka Cory, haha! I’ll set the camera settings and the scenes and I’ll have Cory release the shutter for me.
I absolutely love baking! Aside from drawing and photography, it’s one of my favorite things to do!
I can only imagine what it’s like in italy right now! Try to stay cool!
Oh my gosh the no dogs allowed picture is priceless!
