We are a week into the new year and after some hemming and hawing, I’ve decided to continue my photo a day project. I really enjoyed being able to look back this past year and have a visual diary of all I experienced. I’m thinking 2013 is going to be even more incredible and I want to be able to remember every bit of it. I will also be continuing my weekly portrait project over on Endlessly Enraptured with my dear husband. I do hope you’ll follow along…
And now, my week in photographs…
Tuesday, January 1st: If this weather is any indication of what 2013 is going to be like, we are in for a treat.
Wednesday, January 2nd: New socks. New rug.
Thursday, January 3rd: First photo booth strip of the year
Friday, January 4th: Our first flowers of the year
Saturday, January 5th: My sweetheart brought a cupcake home just for me.

those photo booth photos are awesome
Haha! Thanks! We are going to try and do one every month!
It’s lovely to see that you’re continuing with the project 365. Last year I really enjoyed looking at your daily pictures. Since January 1st 2012, I have started doing my own project 365 3 times! I just don’t think my life is exciting enough just yet to start it and really push myself. My second attempt has lasted for about 138 days from what I remember. I started it quite late, in May, after finishing my first year at university when I had time to go out and the weather was nice. Then it just went downhill and I stopped. I really wanted to start it again this year but only after a few days, I gave up. Do you sometimes find yourself in a position where you seem to be running out of things to photograph and photograph the same thing over and over again but in a different way? How do you break out of this circle?
Anyway, I’m sorry for such a long comment! Once I get going, I can’t stop. I’m looking forward to seeing new posts on here and on your and Cory’s new blog!
Oh, I had lots of days where I thought, “What the heck am I doing!? These photos are awful!” I would get stuck. To get unstuck, I would just purposefully photograph something I otherwise wouldn’t. I tend to favor portraits and food, so I started photographing areas of my home, collections I have, landscapes, my neighborhood, etc. I would suggest just brainstorming and writing an ongoing list of things to photograph. It helped me anyway. I’m working on a post about 365/ 52 weeks projects. And I’m so glad you are following along on the new blog! I do hope you attempt a 365 again!
I think they look great! Keep it up! I feel the need to jump on the 365 too! I could just hardly decide what to MAKE of just one day?!
I think the best thing to do is to not put any pressure on it. I don’t have special things going on every day so I just take a picture of what my day is like: a stack of dishes… the book I’m currently reading… a meal I made. Not every photo has to be your dream photo. Actually, some of my favorite photos of last year were photos I never intended to take!
Your photos are great. I have bookmarked your blog
Right back at you!
really like your project idea, i want to do something like that!
