Sunday, February 3rd: I am officially 26. It was truly an incredible birthday… Monday, January 4th: Another perk of birthdays is all the wonderful mail that comes. Anyone want to be pen pals? Tuesday, February 5th: Hung a little polaroid show (using lovely Impossible Project Film) at Insomnia Coffee Co. Go see it if you get the chance! Wednesday, February 6th: I love this month of love. Thursday, February 7th: A trip to Blue Star Donuts over on Endlessly Enraptured… Friday, February 8th: 05/52 Saturday, February 9th: Spent the day with Bria, Andrew and this little guy. Sunday, January 13th: An unexpected snow day. Monday, January 14th: Been enjoying watching “I Love Lucy” on Hulu lately. I’m a big Lucille Ball fan. Tuesday, January 15th: And thus a new routine begins. My braces were put on. Just the top ones for now. In 6 weeks they will shave down two of my molars and put braces on my bottom teeth. I’m sure I will have a lot more to say on the matter once the pain subsides a bit… Wednesday, January 16th: My first time making gluten free gnocchi. Pretty proud. 2012 was an incredible year in so many ways. I made huge strides with my health, photography and in my relationships. It was also a tough year filled with transitions, setbacks and more testing of my faith and patience than I cared for. I feel as though 2012 was gearing me up for the magic and wonder that is going to be 2013. I really can’t wait to see how the coming year unfolds and share it with my husband. Thank you to everyone who followed along as I photographed each day of my life this past year. Happy Halloween everyone! Since Cory works evenings, we celebrated Halloween over the weekend. We spent the morning carving pumpkins. I love how they turned out. This is actually the first time we have gone to a pumpkin patch, picked out pumpkins and carved them together. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year. We have a tradition of going out to dinner and a movie in our costumes. This year we decided to go as Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick. What do you think? I’m at Grandma’s Farm in this week’s 52. This week nearly went by without a 365 post. Its been a hectic week. A few years ago, my mom had an aneurysm. Last month she was diagnosed with diabetes. This week we found out she also has crohn’s disease and has a large tumor inside her intestines. A few more tests need to be done before we know if it’s cancerous. Whatever your beliefs may be, please keep my mom in your thoughts and send positivity her way. My lovely mother needs a break from all this hardship. My heart is full of hope. On labor day, we visited Cory’s family. His grandma lives on an 88 acre farm out in the middle of nowhere. You would never know it was there unless someone purposely took you there. You travel along winding, gravel and dirt roads where you eventually come to a clearing with a farm. It was such a lovely day out so we took advantage of it and went on a photowalk before dinner. We had a little friend by the name of Boots follow us along. It made me long for a kitten that much more! Cory’s brother Casy dug us up some potatoes and garlic from the garden. I’m ashamed to say that Cory and I only live an hour away from the beach but hadn’t visited since we first started dating over 5 years ago. We knew we had to remedy this so a couple of weekends ago we drove up to Cannon Beach and spent the afternoon. First stop was Mo’s for the clam chowder, bouillabaisse and gorgeous view of the beach. After savoring every last bite, we headed to the beach. The weather was ridiculously perfect. We took off our shoes so we could feel the warm sand and freezing cold water on our toes.
