2012 was an incredible year in so many ways. I made huge strides with my health, photography and in my relationships. It was also a tough year filled with transitions, setbacks and more testing of my faith and patience than I cared for. I feel as though 2012 was gearing me up for the magic and wonder that is going to be 2013. I really can’t wait to see how the coming year unfolds and share it with my husband. Thank you to everyone who followed along as I photographed each day of my life this past year. I’m celebrating the ending of my 52 weeks portrait project in this week’s 52! I’m looking forward to sharing a year in review tomorrow but for now, here is the final week of my 2012 in photographs… Sunday (December 23rd): Getting some more cookie gift boxes put together to hand out for Christmas. Monday (December 24th): We spent Christmas Eve with my Dad’s side of the family (like we do nearly every year). We opened gifts and ate chinese food. Can’t wait for next year. Tuesday (December 25th): Merry Christmas! Ever since I can remember, I’ve spent Christmas morning at my Aunt Brenda’s house for Christmas Brunch. Whoa. I’m not sure how it happened, but it’s already Thursday and I haven’t posted my weekly 365! I guess I blame it on the craziness that is the holiday season. Speaking of holidays, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Cory and I will be spending it at my in laws today. For this week’s 52, I’m hanging out at one of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops. Happy Halloween everyone! Since Cory works evenings, we celebrated Halloween over the weekend. We spent the morning carving pumpkins. I love how they turned out. This is actually the first time we have gone to a pumpkin patch, picked out pumpkins and carved them together. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year. We have a tradition of going out to dinner and a movie in our costumes. This year we decided to go as Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick. What do you think? September’s Birchbox theme was inspired by Fall Fashion Week. Twistband: While I really have no use for the twistband right now what with my pixie haircut, I can see why the Birchbox Team admires them so much. They don’t seem to tug on the hair the way elastics do.
