I was instantly smitten with the packaging and was so glad when the flavor matched up to how darling it looked. This month is also extra special because they’ve teamed up with Pencils of Promise to raise money to build a school in Guatemala. July’s Birchbox was curated by Glamour Magazine‘s beauty editors. They chose the five senses as the theme. While I did enjoy the feel and coverage of this one, I think “golden” was a little too yellow for my liking. I wish Birchbox would have sent me “pearl” instead. I would love to try it. I want to tell you about a magical place that exists in Portland, Oregon on Clinton Street. Xtabay Vintage Clothing Boutique is pure, vintage heaven. The fabulous owner, Liz Gross, opened the shop in 2001 and it has been the place to go for vintage dresses, shoes, hats and handbags ever since. They recently opened a bridal salon upstairs which is where I found my wedding dress! But, more on the bridal salon later, for now lets focus on the vintage boutique. I’ve had numerous requests recently to post some makeup tutorials. I thought that sounded like a lot of fun. I am currently drafting a post on my “everyday look.” While I’m finishing writing that up, I’d figure I would at least share some information on my makeup history and my favorite red lip color! A nod to my love of reading for this week’s 52. My week mostly consisted of finishing up stressful school projects, cursing the rain and running around trying to get things done. Meet my new second cousin, Lincoln Jeffrey Kotsovos. His middle name is in honor of my uncle Jeff who introduced my cousin Casey to his now wife of 5 years, Nicole. He is just over a month old. Can you believe all that hair!? That’s my grandma holding him in the black and white photographs. I can tell it feels her heart with joy to be able to hold her great grandchild. Lincoln is lucky enough to be the baby brother of this little darling, Lauren.
