The days have become cold, rainy and grey but a little bit of sunshine came to my door in the form of a Birchbox. November’s box was all about being thankful and giving back. This month, Birchbox teamed up with goop. They put together a collection of their much-loved essentials. Kuami Tea Paris (In Euphoria & Detox): I’m a tea drinker and love trying new brands and flavors. I was instantly smitten with the packaging and was so glad when the flavor matched up to how darling it looked. DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Poor Minimizer Moisturizing Serum: While I loved the sent of this serum and how soft it left my skin, I think the formula was a bit too strong for my fair complexion. Week 41 {Project 365}

The rain has started and it is creating the most beautiful blue, grey light. It’s what inspired this week’s 52. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (October 7th): Pencil shavings from a recent project. Monday (October 8th): Cupcakes were a necessity on this particular day. Tuesday (October 9th): A new favorite. Wednesday (October 10th): An incredible sunset. I’m going to miss seeing those regularly now that we are in the rainy part of the season. September’s Birchbox theme was inspired by Fall Fashion Week. Twistband: While I really have no use for the twistband right now what with my pixie haircut, I can see why the Birchbox Team admires them so much. They don’t seem to tug on the hair the way elastics do. I’ve actually been thinking of growing my hair out so I guess this could come in handy. 21 Drops Aromatherapy Blend (In Focus): I believe aromatherapy can be extremely healing. This month, the Birchbox team wanted to rekindle the thrill of back to school shopping. This month is also extra special because they’ve teamed up with Pencils of Promise to raise money to build a school in Guatemala. Throughout August, 15 % of proceeds from sales in the Birchbox Shop will go to Pencils of Promise. How awesome is that!? Oh, have you seen yesterday’s post? I’m in need your help! Week 29 {Project 365}

Hello everyone! Long time no blog. The past few weeks have been such a whirlwind. I’ve made it back from Italy safe, sound and full of unbelievably delicious food and wine. I have so much to share from the trip, but first, I need to share week 29 of my project 365 and 52 weeks project. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (July 15th): I got to have lunch and swap books (a few trash novels for my long flight) with one of my best friends. July’s Birchbox was curated by Glamour Magazine‘s beauty editors. They chose the five senses as the theme. Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint (In Golden): Apparently moisturizing tints are all the rage right now. While I did enjoy the feel and coverage of this one, I think “golden” was a little too yellow for my liking. I wish Birchbox would have sent me “pearl” instead. I would love to try it. Stila “It’s Go Time” Lip Glaze (In Kitten): When it comes to my lips, I tend to vier away from glosses. I’m more of a chapstick / lip stain sort of gal. June’s Birchbox was full of summer essentials to have while jet setting. Just perfect for my upcoming trip! Masqueology Brightening Mask: I had never used a mask quite like this before. It was very cooling and left my skin incredibly soft. Supergoop SPF 30+: Sunscreen is my best friend. I never leave home without it. This one has a very mild smell and clean feel. I’ll definitely be keeping it in my everyday bag. Stainiac HInt of Tint in Beauty Queen: I was surprised by how much I loved this stain. I’ve been contemplating for quite some time signing up for Birchbox. Well, I finally did and am so glad. I love experimenting with different products and I absolutely love mail so really it’s a win, win! Color Club Professional Nail Lacquer in Disco Nap: I was very excited about this sample. I love a beautiful, metallic nail color! I put it on as soon as I took it out of the box. Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25+: While I like the idea of this product (a tinted balm, moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum all-in-one) it just wasn’t for me.
