All You Need is Love

Posted on 2 Jul ’12

We are gathered here in the presence of this company to join Cory and Jade in marriage. Nothing worthwhile in life is sudden.  We wait for birth.  We wait for life to reveal its meaning, year by year, experience by experience.  Waiting is the law of life, the measure of love. When two individuals meet, so do two private worlds.  None of our private worlds is big enough for us to live a wholesome life in.  We need the wide world of joy and wonder, of purpose and venture, of toil and tears.  What are we, any of us, but strangers and sojourners forlornly wandering through the night until we draw together and find the meaning of our lives in one another, dissolving our fears in…

Weeks 21 & 22 {Project 365}

Posted on 5 Jun ’12

Since I took a break from blogging last week, I have two weeks worth of photographs to share for my 365 project. I decided to just combine them in one, big, beautiful post! Image overload, I know, but hang in there with me! Lets start with Week 21: For this week’s 52, I’m a bride! I truly felt beautiful that day. And now, week 21 in photographs… Sunday (May 20th): Three of my dearest friends threw me a little bachelorette brunch. We exchanged gifts, stuffed ourselves silly with carbs and sugar and watched Dirty Dancing. I sure do love those ladies. Monday (May 21st): The succulents for our wedding arrived from California! We ordered them through Succulents Galore. I highly recommend them. Tuesday (May 22nd):…

Bride for a Day

Posted on 29 Feb ’12

On Sunday, I got to be a bride. No, I didn’t get married, but I got to be a model for Rocked, a Portland Bridal Event hosted by Portland Bride & Groom and The Nines. I wore a gorgeous 1950′s silk embroidered taffeta wedding gown with cinched waist, cascading train and boat neckline from Xtabay Bridal Salon, the same salon where I found my dress. I felt incredibly regal. The event took place on the 6th floor of the hotel. It was unbelievably gorgeous with views of the Courthouse and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Special thanks to Cory for being photographer/dress carrier for the day! I wouldn’t have made it through the day without you! Here are a few more snapshots of the event… Twitter / Facebook / Pinterest / Illustration
