Week 42 {Project 365}

Posing with pumpkins in this week’s 52. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (October 14th): The hubby and I finally made it to the pumpkin patch. I’m still laughing thinking about how much joy the hayride gave Cory. He didn’t realize there would be free hayrides so when I explained that we had to ride in order to get to the patch, his eyes lit up! A Trip to Ruby Jewel Scoops

A few years ago, I saw a special on Food Network about Ruby Jewel Ice Cream Sandwiches. It stood out in my mind for a few reasons 1) Lisa, the ice cream artisan, was making these beautiful sandwiches in my hometown, Portland, 2) The flavor combinations sounded delectable and 3) I adore ice cream. Cory and I went out immediately to Whole Foods to hunt them down. We decided on the Lemon Cookie with Honey Lavender. It… was… insane. Week 29 {Project 365}

Hello everyone! Long time no blog. The past few weeks have been such a whirlwind. I’ve made it back from Italy safe, sound and full of unbelievably delicious food and wine. I have so much to share from the trip, but first, I need to share week 29 of my project 365 and 52 weeks project. A Trip to Salt & Straw

We have been having incredibly rainy weather here lately, even for Oregon standards. On Sunday, a little bit of sunshine peaked out and Cory and I decided to pretend it meant that it was summer and go out for ice cream. I’m a bit of an ice cream enthusiast. Ok, major enthusiast. Always have been, always will be. I’ve been to Salt & Straw’s scoop cart a few times, but haven’t been able to get out to Alberta to their shop since it opened a few months back. Week 3 {Project 365}

Showing off my new sunglasses for this week’s 52. What do you think of them? I jokingly tried them on for Cory at Anthropologie and fell in love with them. They were 70% off so I basically had to get them. It was kind of a tough week this week. Don’t get me wrong, there were lots of great moments, I just think I have a bit of the winter blues. I blame it on the crummy weather and loads of school work.
