Xtabay Holiday Fashion Show

The show was such fun. The crowd was absolutely amazing and the girls looked stunning in their red lips and vintage attire. The show also raised $1200 for the Cascade AIDS Project, which is incredible. A special thank you to Liz Gross, owner of Xtabay, for making this short girl’s dream come true: I never thought I would have the pleasure of walking a runway show and now, I have! Just in case you weren’t able to make it to the show, you can still see us strut our stuff modeling the amazing vintage coats, cocktail dresses and gowns. Week 47 (Project 365)

Sharing my new glasses from Lookmatic in this week’s 52. I adore them. More soon. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (November 18th): A little visit from Needy, our most friendly, demanding neighborhood cat. Monday (November 19th): Stumbled upon some beautiful fungi. Tuesday (November 20th): It’s getting colder and colder and pretty soon these gorgeous, fiery leaves will be gone. I’m going to miss them. Wednesday (November 21st): Homemade cranberry sauce is the only way to go. Thursday (November 22nd): We had a happy Thanksgiving over at my in-law’s farm. How about you? Week 41 {Project 365}

The rain has started and it is creating the most beautiful blue, grey light. It’s what inspired this week’s 52. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (October 7th): Pencil shavings from a recent project. Monday (October 8th): Cupcakes were a necessity on this particular day. Tuesday (October 9th): A new favorite. Wednesday (October 10th): An incredible sunset. I’m going to miss seeing those regularly now that we are in the rainy part of the season. Week 36 {Project 365}

I’m at Grandma’s Farm in this week’s 52. This week nearly went by without a 365 post. Its been a hectic week. A few years ago, my mom had an aneurysm. Last month she was diagnosed with diabetes. This week we found out she also has crohn’s disease and has a large tumor inside her intestines. A few more tests need to be done before we know if it’s cancerous. Whatever your beliefs may be, please keep my mom in your thoughts and send positivity her way. My lovely mother needs a break from all this hardship. My heart is full of hope. July’s Birchbox was curated by Glamour Magazine‘s beauty editors. They chose the five senses as the theme. Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint (In Golden): Apparently moisturizing tints are all the rage right now. While I did enjoy the feel and coverage of this one, I think “golden” was a little too yellow for my liking. I wish Birchbox would have sent me “pearl” instead. I would love to try it. Stila “It’s Go Time” Lip Glaze (In Kitten): When it comes to my lips, I tend to vier away from glosses. I’m more of a chapstick / lip stain sort of gal. Our Wedding {Instant Edition}

Hello everyone! Long time no blog, I know! I decided to take last week off and just enjoy being wife to my new husband! That doesn’t mean I don’t have scads of photographs to share with you. Saturday, May 26th was truly one of the happiest days of my life. I kept my camera at home and allowed our photographer to just do what he does best. 30 Days of Gratitude {Day 25}

I’m grateful that instead of getting up at 4am and standing in line for Black Friday, we had a Muppet Friday instead. Cory and I went and saw the new “Muppet Movie” this morning and then later this evening, after dinner, we snuggled up in bed and watched “The Muppet Christmas Carol.” I’m grateful that the world that Jim Henson created is still thriving.

30 Days of Gratitude {Day 1}

It’s November 1st which means that it’s time for 30 Days of Gratitude. I had been toying with the idea of doing a photo project this month so when Kristin and Xanthe both reminded me with their lovely photographs today about the project, I knew it was exactly what I had been looking to do. I’m grateful for the great big beautiful tree that grows right next to our patio. This time of year, its leaves turn the brightest of yellows and every time I walk past our sliding glass door, I can’t help but smile.
