Week 28 {Project 365}

In this week’s 52, I’m sharing this necklace. On this particular afternoon, I randomly decided I wanted to wear a necklace. I love jewelry, but I usually end up wearing the same 3 or 4 favorite pieces over and over again. I decided to change things up. Cory ended up asking where I got it and that’s when I realized I bought it in Venice on my first trip to Italy. Obviously Italy is calling me. Week 27 {Project 365}

Dramatic light is featured in this week’s 52. It has been exceptionally sunny lately and since I live in Oregon, I don’t get a chance to shoot in this kind of light all that often. When I look at this polaroid, I feel like it looks like it was shot in a studio, but it was actually shot in a forest. The light on my face is from the sun falling through the trees. I have been without my dslr this week. It was sent off for cleaning and maintenance so it can be in top working condition for my trip. I ended up taking my instant film cameras with me everywhere over the last 7 days. And now, my week in {instant film} photographs……

June’s Birchbox was full of summer essentials to have while jet setting. Just perfect for my upcoming trip! Masqueology Brightening Mask: I had never used a mask quite like this before. It was very cooling and left my skin incredibly soft. Supergoop SPF 30+: Sunscreen is my best friend. I never leave home without it. This one has a very mild smell and clean feel. I’ll definitely be keeping it in my everyday bag. Stainiac HInt of Tint in Beauty Queen: I was surprised by how much I loved this stain. I’m dressed for the heat and for an afternoon matinee for this week’s 52. I spent a ton of time outside this week. Must have had to do with the fact that I was cooped up the majority of last week. Sharing a quiet moment in this week’s 52. It has been a crazy month and I am looking forward to things slowing down. The wedding is less than a month away and I’m still sorting out little details here and there. We are starting to paint our colorful walls back to white and box up our belongings for our move in June. I am also giving a presentation on Saturday for my research project. It’s my final presentation for my master’s degree. I have some butterflies in my stomach, but I know I’m ready. Like I said, I just can’t wait for things to slow down a bit. Week 11 {Project 365}

Sharing one of my favorite things to do on this week’s 52: Sitting quietly in a coffee shop, people watching and gazing out at the weather. We don’t have enough still moments in life, you know? Week 5 {Project 365}

Sharing my new purple shirt from Anthropologie for this week’s 52. I love the peasant sleeves, empire waist and lavender color. It’s very comfortable and very feminine. I started the week with a horrible cold. I had a sore throat and migraine and felt exhausted and achey all over. Felt a bit better on Friday and ventured out for some special birthday activities Cory had planned, but we ended up having to reschedule a majority of the activities because I took a turn for the worse. Turns out I have walking pneumonia, oh joy! Not really what I wanted for my 25th birthday, but sometimes that’s how the cards are dealt. Special thanks to Cory for taking such great care of me! You read right, I, Jade Melissa Sheldon, of sound mind and body, am participating in a 365 project (along with a 52 weeks project). I know a lot of people who have gone on the 365 journey and while some have expressed how much they loved it and others have grumbled about how much they hated it, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say they didn’t learn a thing or two about themselves and their photography through it.
