Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!

2012 was an incredible year in so many ways. I made huge strides with my health, photography and in my relationships. It was also a tough year filled with transitions, setbacks and more testing of my faith and patience than I cared for. I feel as though 2012 was gearing me up for the magic and wonder that is going to be 2013. I really can’t wait to see how the coming year unfolds and share it with my husband. Thank you to everyone who followed along as I photographed each day of my life this past year. Week 10 {Project 365}

This week’s 52 is an ode to the Impossible Project. I love instant film and I hadn’t yet gotten my mitts on their black frame film. These gorgeous shots by Anne McGarry pushed me over the edge to finally pick some up. I am now completely hooked. And now, my week in pictures… Sunday (March 4th): In middle school, I used to love calligraphy. My classmates would pay me a dollar a piece to write their names in calligraphy for them to take home and put on their wall. Hillsboro High School Seniors

The current art teacher (and teacher in charge of yearbook) at Hillsboro High School is a wonderful woman I went through my MAT program with. She contacted me and asked if I would be willing to volunteer my time and talent to come in and take senior portraits of students who hadn’t had the opportunity earlier in the year to get portraits done. Of course my answer was yes! So last Thursday, Cory and I gathered up our gear and headed out to Hillsboro High School. There were some challenges: extremely cold/misty weather a million geese who, I swear on my life, wanted to eat us limited areas to photograph on school grounds photographs absolutely had to be close up each student was only allowed…
