Week 41 {Project 365}

The rain has started and it is creating the most beautiful blue, grey light. It’s what inspired this week’s 52. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (October 7th): Pencil shavings from a recent project. Monday (October 8th): Cupcakes were a necessity on this particular day. Tuesday (October 9th): A new favorite. Wednesday (October 10th): An incredible sunset. I’m going to miss seeing those regularly now that we are in the rainy part of the season. This month, the Birchbox team wanted to rekindle the thrill of back to school shopping. This month is also extra special because they’ve teamed up with Pencils of Promise to raise money to build a school in Guatemala. Throughout August, 15 % of proceeds from sales in the Birchbox Shop will go to Pencils of Promise. How awesome is that!? Oh, have you seen yesterday’s post? I’m in need your help! Week 26 {Project 365}

Soaking up the sun in this week’s 52. I am all stocked up on polaroid film for my upcoming trip. I couldn’t resist testing out the PZ 680 Color Shade Cool. I think I’m in love. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (June 24th): The day didn’t quite start as expected but ended rather nicely. It was the first annual Barbecue for Mountain Spring Health Clinic, the clinic that has quite literally changed my life. A reflection for this week’s 52. It was a long week and one I’m happy to say goodbye to. But, lets not focus on the bad, lets focus on the little gems that made it worth it. Sharing one of my favorite things to do on this week’s 52: Sitting quietly in a coffee shop, people watching and gazing out at the weather. We don’t have enough still moments in life, you know? And now, my week in photographs: Sunday (March 11th): A little lipstick. Monday (March 12th): I’m trying to battle these gloomy, rainy days with some pops of color. Come on Spring!! This week’s 52 is an ode to the Impossible Project. I love instant film and I hadn’t yet gotten my mitts on their black frame film. These gorgeous shots by Anne McGarry pushed me over the edge to finally pick some up. I am now completely hooked. My classmates would pay me a dollar a piece to write their names in calligraphy for them to take home and put on their wall. I’m bundled up for this week’s 52. It was kind of a dreary week with lots of rain and howling wind which resulted in postponing lots of plans. I think the weather really but a damper on my creativity as well. Week 7 {Project 365}

For this week’s 52, I’m sharing my darker side. I usually go lighter on the eyes and sport a bold red lip instead, but after being sick and not wearing makeup for a week, I wanted to experiment and have some fun. A gift I got for my birthday was the Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay and I LOVE it. If you are looking to invest in some quality makeup, I definitely recommend it. For this week’s 52, you see me where I have been all week: in bed feeling lousy. I think I’m over the worst of it though. My hair starts looking very “punk rocker” after a few days in bed. I miss the outside. Because of my illness, I didn’t leave the apartment for over a week which is incredibly odd for me. Week 5 {Project 365}

Sharing my new purple shirt from Anthropologie for this week’s 52. I love the peasant sleeves, empire waist and lavender color. It’s very comfortable and very feminine. I started the week with a horrible cold. I had a sore throat and migraine and felt exhausted and achey all over. Felt a bit better on Friday and ventured out for some special birthday activities Cory had planned, but we ended up having to reschedule a majority of the activities because I took a turn for the worse. Turns out I have walking pneumonia, oh joy! Not really what I wanted for my 25th birthday, but sometimes that’s how the cards are dealt. Special thanks to Cory for taking such great care of me! A nod to my love of reading for this week’s 52. My week mostly consisted of finishing up stressful school projects, cursing the rain and running around trying to get things done. I’m pretty sure I overworked myself because I woke up this morning with a horrible headache and sore throat.
