Week 36 {Project 365}

Posted on 14 Sep ’12

I’m at Grandma’s Farm in this week’s 52. This week nearly went by without a 365 post. Its been a hectic week. A few years ago, my mom had an aneurysm. Last month she was diagnosed with diabetes. This week we found out she also has crohn’s disease and has a large tumor inside her intestines. A few more tests need to be done before we know if it’s cancerous. Whatever your beliefs may be, please keep my mom in your thoughts and send positivity her way. My lovely mother needs a break from all this hardship. My heart is full of hope. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (September 2nd): Prep for one of our new favorite recipes. Monday (September 3rd): Adorable kitten,…

Warby Parker

Posted on 6 Sep ’12

My husband and I have been fans of Warby Parker for quite a few years now. It all started with a group of friends who were sick of unstylish frames that were outrageously overpriced. Not only are they making frames that are affordable and beautiful but Warby Parker is even a part of a Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program, meaning for each pair of glasses that they sell they give a pair to someone in need. If that’s not reason enough to buy from them, then I don’t know what is! Oh! And how about their stellar home try on program? You can select 5 pairs of glasses to be sent to your home so you can try them on and find which ones…

I’m at Stumptown Coffee Roasters for this week’s 52. I get my haircut at Prima Salon (by the incredible Candice White) which is only a few blocks away from the Ace Hotel. After my haircut, Its become a bit of a tradition for Cory and I to go to the Ace and take photos in the photo booth and grab a cup of coffee at Stumptown in the lobby. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (August 5th): Cory and I went to the Orenco Station Farmer’s Market. See the full blog post here. Monday (August 6th): Displaying a few of our gorgeous flowers from the Farmer’s Market on our dining room table. Tuesday (August 7th): My handsome husband. Week 28 {Project 365}

Posted on 18 Jul ’12

In this week’s 52, I’m sharing this necklace. On this particular afternoon, I randomly decided I wanted to wear a necklace. I love jewelry, but I usually end up wearing the same 3 or 4 favorite pieces over and over again. I decided to change things up. Cory ended up asking where I got it and that’s when I realized I bought it in Venice on my first trip to Italy. Obviously Italy is calling me. And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (July 8th): I adore Emma Stone. Gorgeous, witty, not afraid to laugh at herself. Her interview in Vogue was just lovely. Oh, and have you seen this!!? Monday (July 9th): Dorothy, I don’t think we’re in Oregon anymore. I cannot believe this…

Week 5 {Project 365}

Posted on 8 Feb ’12

Sharing my new purple shirt from Anthropologie for this week’s 52. I love the peasant sleeves, empire waist and lavender color. It’s very comfortable and very feminine. I started the week with a horrible cold. I had a sore throat and migraine and felt exhausted and achey all over. Felt a bit better on Friday and ventured out for some special birthday activities Cory had planned, but we ended up having to reschedule a majority of the activities because I took a turn for the worse. Turns out I have walking pneumonia, oh joy! Not really what I wanted for my 25th birthday, but sometimes that’s how the cards are dealt. Special thanks to Cory for taking such great care of me! And now, my week…

A Trip to Salt & Straw

Posted on 24 Jan ’12

We have been having incredibly rainy weather here lately, even for Oregon standards. On Sunday, a little bit of sunshine peaked out and Cory and I decided to pretend it meant that it was summer and go out for ice cream. I’m a bit of an ice cream enthusiast. Ok, major enthusiast. Always have been, always will be. I’ve been to Salt & Straw’s scoop cart a few times, but haven’t been able to get out to Alberta to their shop since it opened a few months back. I decided to finally cross it off my list and go get a scoop or two… or three of their all-natural, organic, 17% butterfat ice cream. We sampled their Black Truffle flavor (good, but I couldn’t image…

Through the Window {At the Ace Hotel}

Posted on 4 Jan ’12

On Saturday, I got together with three of my best girlfriends. We decided this year that instead of going out late to celebrate New Year’s, we were going to get together for brunch and celebrate “Noon” Year! I hope it becomes an annual tradition because I had the best time. We met up at Mother’s Bistro and gorged on breakfast delights (I had the salmon hash with a pot of Russian breakfast tea) and caught up on everything going on in one another’s lives. We were so busy catching up and eating that I didn’t really have the chance to take out the camera. Guess that just means we are going to have to recreate it next year. Cory and I met up afterwards and took…
