I’m a graduate in this week’s 52. I graduated from Pacific University this past Saturday with a Master’s of Arts in Education. This is also my last self portrait as a single lady, can you believe it!? And now, my week in photographs… Sunday (May 13th): Woke up to gray skys and finished writing my mom’s mother’s day card. For this week’s 52, you see me where I have been all week: in bed feeling lousy. I think I’m over the worst of it though. My hair starts looking very “punk rocker” after a few days in bed. I miss the outside. Because of my illness, I didn’t leave the apartment for over a week which is incredibly odd for me. On Saturday, I got together with three of my best girlfriends. We decided this year that instead of going out late to celebrate New Year’s, we were going to get together for brunch and celebrate “Noon” Year! I hope it becomes an annual tradition because I had the best time. We met up at Mother’s Bistro and gorged on breakfast delights (I had the salmon hash with a pot of Russian breakfast tea) and caught up on everything going on in one another’s lives. I’m grateful that I get to wake up every morning and stare out at a kaleidoscope of color. I’m grateful that through this window I get to see the seasons change. I’m grateful for our new bed, the very first that belongs to Cory and me, together.
